Training

From a structured induction process through to ongoing coaching and training, staff development is crucial to retaining valued staff, improving performance and enabling both your organisation and your individual team members to flourish.

When delivering in-house training, we prefer to tailor a course to your needs, incorporating any key internal processes, relevant scenarios and organisational behaviours or values, as opposed to providing an “off the shelf” course.

The types of subjects covered include:

Essential HR for Line Managers

Modules focusing on recruitment and induction, coaching and mentoring, conducting reviews and appraisals and handling difficult conversations.

Mental Health Awareness

Delivered by a Mental Health First Aider and covering common mental health conditions and how to look after your own mental wellbeing and that of others.

The Customer Journey

Identifying what excellent customer service means, reviewing the customer experience in your organisation and creating a customer charter as a team.

Safer Recruitment and Warner Interviewing

Vital if you are hiring people to work in the education, care and social work settings. Warner interviewing explores the motivations, ethics and values of candidates looking to work with children or adults at risk. Your trainer Kathryn Roynon is an expert on this style of interviewing, having introduced it at a national disability charity and in the education sector.

Hook Your Audience

How to use training facilitation skills to bring a workshop or presentation to life and really engage your audience. This is great for business owners or freelance professionals who present to groups of prospective customers.

Delivering Workshops

To identify, review or create organisational values and/or address cultural issues and teamworking.

All of the above courses (other than the workshops on the customer journey and reviewing organisational values) are also delivered regularly as open courses in the Wiltshire area. To find out about the next courses in your area, please click here.

Learning and development projects undertaken for local organisations include:

•    Designing a structured induction process
•    Development of training needs analysis and evaluation processes

Kathryn Roynon also delivers accredited HR-related qualifications for professional bodies.
